Enable your customers to send and receive calls using the Teams app – by setting up the direct routing between your PortaSwitch system and Microsoft Teams (Teams) using the TeamMate technology.
There are two types of services that you can configure and two corresponding modules in the Add-on Mart.
Teams service | Description | Add-on Mart module |
---|---|---|
PBX |
The cloud PBX environment is configured in PortaSwitch. For each cloud PBX user, the Teams app is an alternative to IP phone making/receiving calls. Each user record in Teams is connected to a cloud PBX extension (account) in PortaSwitch. When a Teams user makes calls, the service provider applies charges to the corresponding account. Teams users can configure PBX features such as call forwarding individually. |

Trunk |
Your customers configure their PBX functionality, e.g., auto-attendant, call queues, etc. in Teams. When Teams users make calls to mobile numbers and landlines, these calls are sent out to PortaSwitch via SIP trunk, where the service provider routes the calls further and applies charges to a single customer’s SIP trunking account. Calls to DID numbers that a customer purchased are delivered to PortaSwitch, and then using configuration settings of the SIP trunking account, sent to Teams via a common “trunk”. |
