Node search
Use the Node search panel to find a specific node using the search criteria. Click Default filters to reset the search criteria to their initial values (as they were when you opened the Node search panel).
Name
Filter nodes by name. Type a node name here.
Node ID
Filter nodes by ID. A node ID is equivalent to a hostname for an Internet server (e.g., mail1.cyberdyne.com); it is a descriptive, human-readable name used for identification purposes.
IP
Filter nodes by the IP address.
Client protocol
Filter nodes by the protocols used to communicate with the billing engine.
- Select Any to search for all available nodes.
- Select RADIUS to search for nodes that communicate with the billing engine via the RADIUS protocol.
- Select Diameter to search for nodes that communicate with the billing engine via the Diameter protocol.
- Select Disabled to search for nodes that do not communicate with the billing engine.
Manufacturer
Filter nodes by manufacturing company.
Select Any to search for all available nodes. Otherwise, select the manufacturer name to search for nodes manufactured by that company.
Type
Filter nodes by type.
Select Any to search for all available nodes regardless of the type. Or select the type of the node to search for nodes by it.
Create node
Nodes are your gateways for facilitating calls, providing Internet access via WiFi, sending messages, or supplying any other type of service to end users. A node communicates with the billing engine asking for authentication or authorization and sending accounting information to it.
To add your gateway as a node, fill in the node details and click Save.
Node name
Type the name by which you will recognize this node in the system.
Node ID
Type the IP address or the hostname of the gateway by which it will be identified in the system. If you define the hostname, make sure the value you enter here matches the “hostname” parameter configured on the gateway, since that value is returned from this node in the h323-gw-id attribute, and the ability to match these values with data in billing significantly simplifies troubleshooting.
IP
Type the IP address of the gateway. This address is present in the radius data as the NAS-IP-Address attribute, and is used to identify which node sent the request.
Manufacturer
Select the manufacturing company of your gateway.
Type
Select the type of the gateway. The types depend on the gateway manufacturer.
