The Routing filters panel allows you to define the capabilities of a remote party. You can also adjust the list of codecs to be used by the system to receive incoming calls from a vendor and/or to be sent to a vendor for outgoing calls.

Note that some fields depend on the connection type.

All codecs

The list of supported codecs consists of single codecs and groups of codecs. The arrow to the right of the codec name indicates the group. Click Arrow Down  to see the codecs included in the group. Click Arrow Up  to close the group.

By default, all codecs are included in the list. To clear the list click All codecs. To exclude a particular codec or group of codecs from the list, clear the checkbox to the left of its name.

Other

Link copied to clipboard

This is a group that includes “other” codecs (those that are not included in the list of supported codecs below, e.g., unknown codecs).

Click Arrow Down  to see the subgroups included in this group.

Select the checkbox for the Unknown media/codec subgroup if you want the system to use all the codecs even if they are absent in the list of supported codecs below. For example, if you want the system to use G.191 codec (that is absent on the list of supported codecs), mark the Unknown media/codec checkbox. Note that in this case, the system will use not only the G.191 codec but also all the other unknown codecs such as AMR, VP8, L16, etc.
